Nektarios was born and grew up in Athens. On a winter afternoon in the year 2000 he dreamt while having a nap that he was juggling three balls. That was his first contact with the world of juggling. The very same afternoon he bought three balls and taught himself to juggle. That was his first step towards the world of Circus, although he didn't know that back then. After spending a year juggling alone he met more jugglers! That brought a faster development and the learning of new skills like stilts. His interest towards the theatre which he had shown some years earlier seemed to fit in perfectly, so he decided to embark upon a new profession. He spent the next two years working as a juggler, fire juggler, stilt-walker and getting involved in the creation of a street theatre group. Following this period Nektarios felt a strong need to take his profession to another level. He went to the circus school Carampa in Madrid where he had his first true contact with the Circus. There he was taught by professionals the basics of acrobatics, aerial, tight wire and clowning. A year later he returned to Greece and continued working mostly as a street performer. But soon he left again. This time he went to London where he did a three years BA (Hons) degree in circus arts at The Circus Space. At The Circus Space Nektarios had the chance to build a strong foundation and understanding in circus arts. He learned how to devise solo performance and in addition to act and improvise within a group. As his discipline he chose the Chinese Pole and spent two years of the course specialising in it. Since the summer of 2008 when he graduated he continues to live and work in London.
